Running In Boracay Island, Aklan.

20 02 2009

Conquering Boracay Island by means of running from point to point is an accomplishment I can’t forget. The mileage is 5 kms from one end and another 5  kms to reach the other point, giving me the impression that the whole island is almost 10 kms. I ran 3 consecutive days, including one in the afternoon, with an average time of 1 hour and 20 minutes each. I also had the privilege of running  elbow to elbow with some of the best foreign triathletes who happened to be there and doing their training.

Here are some keepsake of that momentous day:

Hi Let, thanks for dropping by. ..and yes that island is great for running but i forgot to remove my shoes while running there, the result? I have “pantos” for the accumulation of sands inside my shoes…A good run though…

God bless.

hi ronnie,
when my family stayed in Two Seasons in Bora, i tried to run but maybe i wasnt into running then as i found it difficult to run in the beach.

when we come back in April, i will bring my running gear and try again. this time ill make sure ill enjoy running in the beach.

btw, my husband, Jonas, and I are new in the running world and in bloggersphere. we run together in Mens Health followed by OCt4 Festival then almost all the marathon in the last quarter of 2008.

hope to bump into you in the coming races.
