Mabuhay Ka Manny!

“What I am watching is something that is astounding. Usually when a world championship-caliber boxer reaches the top, he can be good for a number of years. But most of the time, there is no improvement. This young man improves every single fight.” -Bob Arum on Manny Pacquiao

I’m so impressed with the way our boxing hero, Manny Pacquiao demolished the flamboyant Ricky Hatton in their much anticipated battle dubbed as, “Pacquiao Vs. Hatton: The Battle Of The East And West” in just two rounds. I know Manny will win again this one (my prediction is that Manny will win it in  round 6 via TKO) but I don’t expect it to be so fast and so humiliating. Manny punched him like a cheap glass vase. Ricky was no longer an opponent but a prey for Manny…and the rest was history!

If you’ll search about the biography of this man, Manny Pacquiao or you were able to watch a film about his life (I think the actor who played his role was Jericho Rosales?), you will know that this is not only about  a “rags to riches” story, but a great boxer with a big heart!

Aside from being charitable in nature, this guy was not ashamed in his almost every fights to kneel down and pray before and after the bout, there on top of the arena in front of galore of people asking God for strength and protection. Not all boxing legends have the guts to do that-except Manny Pacquaio. For me, that’s already a sign of  true greatness.

Congratulations again Mr. Manny Pacquiao for bringing home the bacon! You may not  only be considered as one of the boxing greats after this fight-because  now-you’re already a legend! You’re now too wealthy, powerful and popular and yet you’re still humble, generous and most of all-God fearing! Remain in that Manny and HE will bless you more.

Did you know that? Manny Pacquiao is also a great runner, he can finish a 10k race in just 35 minutes!

“You will seek Me and Find Me when you seek Me with all of your heart.”-Jeremiah 29:13

He’s one Pinoy we all can be proud of, for sure. See how Manny prays in the ring before and after his fights. I also noticed him doing the sign of the cross right after Hatton got up from a knockdown. I think he really is faithful and just surrenders his fate to God. This is the reason maybe why he does not want to predict the outcome of any of his fights.
