Shaken-Not Stirred!

“I just can’t watch the news. Everything is just bad news.”- Ray Thompson

Recession, swine flu, price increase, unemployment, famine, earthquake, super typhoon, floods, war, murder…these are the headlines that are almost always present in the local newspapers everyday. The world is in chaos. People are wandering If there are ways to save our world. I read an article about a man who’s vision is to save the planet earth, and so “Earth Day” came to existence. It’s a worthy task but if you’ll read the Holy Bible, the prediction there is that, “The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. That day will about the destruction of the heavens by fire and the elements will melt in the heat. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed it’s coming.” -2 Peter 3:10-12

Bad news will be always around us and I believe it’s the reason why a new born child cries the moment he enters into this world, he can sense already the sufferings and hardships he will encounter later in his maturing life.

No one is exempted from this. It’s a common thing both for an atheist and a believer. The deciding factor is the attitude, how you deal with it.

Injuries and other illnesses may hamper us or slow us down in our quest but with dedication and passion, we will survive. Bad news will test our courage and sometimes will put us to our limits, good thing is, if we have that faith, we can prevail.

We maybe shaken a little bit-but not stirred!

Injury or no-injury, let’s continue. Life is short, so let’s make it a fruitful one.

Something To Think About: Bruce, with eyes growing wider, watched a persevering spider, then rose and swiped the English Army. Newton, sitting on a wall, watched an autumn apple fall, and Watt, observing someone’s kettle boiling near the Chimney settle, designed a patent engine that amazed mankind. I have looked at spiders toiling, apples falling, kettles boiling. My hat! If I could only think like that!

God be Praised!

“What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?” -Mark 8:36
