Those Unsung Heroes Of Botak100!

Heroes take journeys, confront dragons, and discover the treasure of their true selves. Carol Lynn Pearson

Let me say my ‘sincerest’ appreciation for these people for making my 3rd Ultramarathon a success…

My old friend Jerome-for the support both spiritually and financially.

My classmate in high-school- Ms. Cynthia Nazareno, for the inspiration and untiring commitment.

Romy Irevera- my pacer and assistant for this race.

Atty. Jon Lacanlale-who offered his help together with his entire staff.

Sir Jovie ‘Baldrunner’ and Rick Gaston-for words of wisdom and advice.

Doc Jose Martin Paiso-my ‘angel in white uniform’ and also an elite runner.

Ultra-runner Jun Jaranillas-for a hitch ride last Carbo Loading party and a gatorade at km. 70 during the race.

PUR Gilbert- his staff gave me a sliced apple at km. 78

A lady in her 30’s- who gave me an ice cold 1.5 liter of water along the way when I’m already dehydrated.

Ultra-runners Isko, Albert (RUN2DMOON), and their group (Sorry guys, forgot your names but I can’t forget your face), who pushed me at the early stages of the race.

Ultra-runners Ronaldrei, George, Ralph, Cesar and many others who was with me at the finish line.

To those policemen who escorted me and the guy in his scooter.

To group at km 80, Jinoe, Quennie, Rico V. (Sheerwill) and many others.

To Ian Alacar, Neville Manaois and many others.

To all runners-bloggers who wished me ‘the best’ while running this race. (You know who you are-God bless all of you!)

To Ultra-runner Caloy Nobleza-who called me up and cheered for me a day after that event.

To Ultra-runners Jonel (Bugobugo) and Rollie, who sent me sms while I reached the finish line.

To Sir Cesar Guarin (CEO of Botak and one of the pioneers of Ultra-running in the country) for allowing me to join this event.

To my running buddies who believed and prayed for me…Willy Eugenio, Ferdie Valdez, Henry de Castro, Philip Opulencia, Bert Rodillas, Joe Asuncion, Allan Limpiahoy, Jt Oliver, Amado Gerpacio, Bayani Alonte, Johnny Lazarito, Jackiri Marcos, Capt. Conrad Aquino, Abet Alcantara, Ed Meneses, Ernie Ledesma, Elvis Nunez, Rannie, Vic, and many others.

To those I’m not allowed to mention their names…

Thank you for making me a part of history. The first ever 100 kms Ultramarathon done in Manila.

See you again at the races.

God be Praised!
