The Mystery Of ‘Cardiac Arrest’ Hills!

15 02 2010

“Uncertainty and mystery are energies of life. Don’t let them scare you unduly, for they keep boredom at bay and spark creativity.” -R. I. Fitzhenry

Five days before the Skyway 42K marathon, I invited 2 of  my friends in Westgrove Sta. Rosa Laguna to bike the Cardiac Arrest Hills, one of the most dreaded places in Laguna in terms of elevation. This was only 3 hours trip back and forth but worth the trip.

On our way to that place…

Someday, these fields of green will be no more. Commercial establishments will soon invade this magnificent

scenery.

The day I reached Cardiac Arrest Hills by means of biking!

At the summit of Cardiac Arrest. Look at the elevation!

Conquered at last! Thank you Lord and to SPYDER!

Nardz…

Dan Ferrer…

Let me tell you the mystery.  According to a popular belief, a biker died here while trying to reach the summit there at the  tower! That’s why it’s now popularly known as the ‘Cardiac Arrest Hills’ to many.

A view from the bottom.

I already subdued this place last year by means of running. And last Feb. 3, 2010…I returned and conquered it again by biking.

Thank God for I escaped death while  trying to reach the summit of this beautiful but dangerous place.

This abode  is not recommended for those with weak hearts.

On my next post, I’ll share with you another biking adventure which was done last Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 -the longest biking adventure I have ever experienced, a 13.5 hours road trip, from San Pedro Laguna to Tiaong Quezon Province and vice versa.

See you at the road.

Remember- God loves you always.

God be Praised!
