“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…for YOU are with me!” -Psalms 23:3
My day 1 was done and so the journey will continue…
From San Pedro Laguna all the way to Cavite City, a distance of 70 kms based on our Cyclometers (team TURBO) FROM 10 pm up to 8:30 am, a ten and a half hours running and walking, including several stops and rests along the way.
This run was unforgettable for I’m all alone with no vehicular support and thrice did I escaped a ‘near death experiences.’
-Along Carmona to GMA zigzag road where it was so dark, good thing I have my blinker light and headlamp. I almost slipped head first when I accidentally set my foot on a big stone, causing a minor pain on my Achilles heel later on.
-Along Aguinaldo Highway, stray dogs attacked me.
-Along Noveleta Cavite, a tricycle driver almost hit me when maneuvering from the blind side.
It was so unfortunate that some of my pictures specially at night were not presentable. It was either blurred or defective. Also, there’s no one to take my picture while running, except for some where I instructed them to do so, but a new friend from Noveleta Cavite, MR. Victor Mancilla, saw me and he even escorted to my km 70 this morning.
I started at 10 pm so that I could not experience the intense heat of the sun during the day…
Oh my, my hand was shaking.🙂
As I bought a Regular Hamburger, I asked permission from the security guard to take a picture of me. It was taken at around 1 am.
Ohhh not again…
At 3 am, I ate rice and burgersteak.
I arrived here at 6 am…
I rested my feet for 20 minutes here in Lido Resort, Cavite City oh boy…I’m tired!
I’m eating a ‘power bar’ while resting.
Not happy feet, but ugly feet.🙂
Time to change socks…
Time to run again…
Cavite City here I come…
Mr. Victor Mancilla, first time to meet him as he escorted me in the last 4 kms of this Run for A Cause. This wonderful man is also having his ‘bike for a cause’ for the chosen children as he was inspired by this blog. Thank you brother.🙂
I continued to run again, my finish line for this day is fast approaching.
Again, thank you very much…Sir!
I made it at km 70 at M’c Donalds Cavite City at 7:30 am.
I rested 3 times, in Shell GMA, in Petron Aguinaldo Hiway and in 711 in Binakayan Kawit Cavite.
I slept from 10 am up to 3 pm here in Malabon Cavite because I’m so tired and I’m renting a pc just to update my journey.
I love running at night and maybe I’ll do it again tonight, for my second day.
I thank the Lord for His protection and guidance.
Indeed, the Pacita-San pedro-Landayan-Binan-Carmona-Zigzag-GMA-Palapala-Dasmarinas-Imus-Bacoor-Binakayan-Noveleta-Kawit-Cavite City were conquered! 3 days more…
Allow me to rest. For the meantime, I’m happy to be called ‘the nightcrawler.’
To God be the Glory!
